Location
The Copper River flows into the famous Iliamna Lake which is renown for some of the largest Alaskan rainbows. The Copper River Lodge is the only lodge located on the river itself. The Copper River also drains another lake so it is rarely blown out by heavy rains, and if it does get muddy it recovers extremely quickly.
Guests fly into Iliamna from Anchorage. Upon arrival in Iliamna we will fly you in a dehavilland beaver float plane to the mouth of the Copper 20 minutes away.
